Come join us into the Woodlot in Broadacres Park!
It will be led by our close friend Johann Fisch. He is deaf. On Earth Day 1981, he planted 5 trees in Broadacres. Since then, he planted a new tree every Earth Day. Over the year, many community groups have contributed to planting and caring for the woodlot, which is now a vibrant forest of over 800 trees taking up 2.5 acres in the shape of a heart. We look forward to welcoming you on a walk through the woodlot, and sharing its stories.
There will be an ASL interpreter and an Arabic translator throughout the duration of the event. We recommend to wear closed toe shoes and weather permitting clothes. If you have any questions or concerns please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
